Our 4th annual golf tournament was another huge success, raising just over $6,000 for our cause. Many thanks to all the players and organizations who contributed to the event and enjoyed a lovely day. Next year’s tournament is already booked for August 27th at Edelweiss Golf and Country Club. After a one year hiatus the HCW Steam Train is back in business and TLP Foundation celebrated by bringing 108 people representing 25 CHEO oncology families along for the ride! Our group occupied two entire rail cars aboard the Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield Steam Train for the 5 hour voyage along the scenic route with a 2 hour stopover in beautiful Wakefield, Quebec. Thank you to all the families who participated, and to the Desai family & BW Services (www.bwottawa.com) for co-sponsoring this event.

As part of their “Friends in Need” program the Crowne Plaza Ottawa and TLP Foundation partner to raise a total of $4,062.25. During the period of December 20th – 26th, $10 from every room rental was donated to our foundation (403 rooms), plus an additional $32.25 in cash donations.

A group of retired teachers from the "Association des Retraitées et des Retraités de l'Enseignement du Québec (AREQ)" called "the knitters" made with love several nice wool blankets for children living with cancer. During the period of autumn/winter several children will profit from the comfort and heat of these masterpieces. Thank you dear knitters for your time!!!

The Corner Kitchen & Harry’s Deli sponsor the TLP Foundation treasure chest, located in CHEO’s Medical Day Unit (MDU). $500 from the sale of Laotian coffee was donated to help support this program. Thank you Mebs & the rest of the CK/HD team!

Casino du Lac Leamy chooses TLP Foundation as the recipient charity for a fundraiser held on one of the holes at their annual golf tournament – a total of $933 was raised and donated to TLP.

TLP Foundation and a group of 30 people took in the Go Diego Go show at Scotiabank place and watched as Diego and his cousin Dora rescued baby Jaguar!
