As a replacement event for the HCW Steam Train, TLP Foundation celebrated the joy of Christmas by bringing 120 people representing 30 CHEO oncology families to the Pennsylvania Ballet’s interpretation of “The Nutcracker” at the National Arts Centre. Thank you to all the families who participated, and to the Desai family & BW Services (www.bwottawa.com) for co-sponsoring this event.

Our 6th annual golf tournament was another huge success, raising just over $5,300 for our cause. Many thanks to all the players and organizations who contributed to the event and enjoyed a lovely day, and a very special thanks to Brookfield Renewable Energy for sponsoring the supper again this year. Next year’s tournament is already booked for August 24th at Edelweiss Golf and Country Club. Tell your family & friends!

For the 4th year, TLP Foundation was scheduled to hold its signature event – a trip aboard the HCW Steam Train. Together we were supposed to celebrate by bringing 118 people representing 28 CHEO oncology families along for the ride! Unfortunately mother nature did not co-operate and the severe rain storm we had on the 24th damaged parts of the tracks and the event had to be cancelled. An appropriate replacement event is being investigated.
