December 18th, 2006 Last Saturday afternoon (December 9th) was quite a treat as the families that were picked in the draw attended Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal's presentation of "The Nutcracker". All was perfect to get everyone in the holiday spirit, the one thing missing being the obvious lack of snow on the ground outside! The 5 families that were selected to participate were: the Laframboise family, the Arsenault family, the Richmond family, the Gallagher family, and the Adamson family. Thank you to all for making it a very special day, and stay tuned for our next event!
November 15th, 2006 The TLP Foundation Treasure Chest was delivered to CHEO this week and will become the centerpiece for this program, which has been run by TLP since July. The weekend prior, foundation volunteers painted and decorated the Medical Day Unit "Blood Drawing" room to match the theme of the chest with an underwater feel. Special thanks to all the volunteers from Expographiq, a local design and custom fabrication company, who made this Chest a reality. If interested in supporting this program & having your company name prominently displayed in the lid of the chest, please visit the "Sponsor a Program" section of our website.

October 23rd, 2006 TLP announces its first social outing since incorporating in the spring of 2006. On Saturday, December 9th TLP Foundation will treat 20 people (5 oncology families of 4) to an afternoon presentation of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal's "The Nutcracker" at the National Arts Centre. The families will be picked by virtue of a lottery with the draw taking place on Wednesday, November 29th, 2006.

With the organization of this event, TLP's three core programs are now in operation. The mini-wish program fulfilled its first wish on August 4th, 2006 and the treasure chest program in CHEO's Medical Day Unit was taken over by TLP in July of 2006.
September 12th, 2006 TLP Foundation's first annual golf tournament in support of kids with cancer was held on Friday, August 25th at the Kingsway Park Golf & Country Club and it was an outstanding event, to say the least. With 160 golfers, 29 hole sponsors, a 50/50 draw, a prize raffle and an auction there was a lot to be impressed by, and every single person went home with an armful of gifts - all while raising $12,170 for our foundation.
Here is just a small sample of the feedback we received:
It's an annual pleasure to work with the golf team pros like yourselves. The causes supported are always so worthy of all your efforts and you should be congratulated for making a difference in the lives of those who participate in the day and those who benefit from your tireless efforts in fundraising for their cause. What a wonderful group you all are!
Kudos on your debut event - it was brilliant! What a great day we all had, well done and count me in for next year.
Congrats again, you poured your heart and souls into the day and it showed.

August 17th, 2006 "Soirée de rêve" du camp VDM. Children from the Val-des-Monts summer day camp put together an end of season BBQ and show to raise money for 2 local charities, la fondation Ti-Loup & La Poule and la fondation CSSS de Gatineau. In total $420.86 was raised. TLP thanks the organizers and the performers (the kids) for their initiative & generosity. August 4th, 2006 TLP Foundation launched its Mini-Wish program at CHEO today and it's first recipient was 7 year old Shane Bernier-Leroux. His wish was a motorcycle building kit and he received a K'Nex Orange County Choppers bike kit, delivered within 24 hours of the request. As can be seen in the photo, Shane was very happy and showed off his great smile!

May 2nd, 2006 Less than 3 weeks after being notified of our corporate status, TLP Foundation has been granted registered charity status under paragraph 149(1)(f) of the Income Tax Act, retroactive to March 14th, 2006. This is a significant milestone as it allows the Foundation to issue income tax receipts for qualified donations and assist tremendously in fundraising to support our programs. Our charitable registration number is 85944 6528 RR0001.
April 20, 2006 TLP is partnering with Expographiq, a local design and custom fabrication company, to build a treasure chest structure for our Treasure Chest program. The structure, the design of which can be seen below, will house small toys that a child can pick from (no pun intended) as a reward after giving a blood sample. The chest will be located in the blood drawing room (which is also decorated by TLP) on the 6th floor at CHEO in what is known as the Medical Day Unit (MDU). Hopefully both the room and the chest will be completed by the end of the summer.

April 18th, 2006 Ti-Loup and La Poule Foundation was issued Letters Patent to operate a corporation anywhere within Canada, retroactive to March 14th, 2006. This was a great day as it was the result of almost five years of preparation that started with a family dealing with their own battle with childhood cancer, and ending up with the creation of a corporation that has the foundation of its programs built upon what helped them cope and ultimately beat childhood cancer.
