This program grants wishes to children who are oncology patients at CHEO, up to a value of $50.00 (tax inc.).

Children are eligible to have more than one wish over the course of their treatment, as they will be visiting the hospital multiple times during this period. Priority will be given to children making their first wish, however.

TLP Foundation will try to the best of our ability to fulfill the exact wish request, but we may be required to substitute or modify as necessary.

What is the process - How do I make a wish?

In order for this to be a quick and easy to administer program and get the wish into the hands of the child as quickly as possible, communication is the driving force behind this initiative. Our dedicated on site volunteers interact with families battling cancer on a daily basis and when they see someone who could use a pick me up they will hand them an envelope with the wish request form. If you approve of your child receiving a mini wish from our foundation then simply fill in the form and either fax or mail it back to us. We will then purchase the gift, wrap it, tag it and deliver it to the volunteer who handed you the envelope. Once they have it, they will then fulfill the wish by giving it to you the next time they see you. What this boils down to is that we will approach you first, and the rest is up to you.

We acknowledge in advance that it will be impossible to grant something to every deserving child and at exactly the point when they need it most, but we are human and our delivery system is not 100% error proof. What we do commit to is that we will give 100% effort to run this program to the best of our ability and try and deliver as many wishes to as many children as possible on a timely basis while staying true to our core ideology.

Be creative!

A wish is exactly that, so be creative and make it whatever you want it to be. When you are approached by us let us know what you want no matter how weird or crazy it may seem. What would make you happy? Is it a new Barbie™? An all-dressed pizza? A skateboard? A particular movie? You choose!
